Our primary level education places emphasis on the acquisition of basic numeracy and literacy skills. Teaching methods slowly become more formal and children experience a noticeable division in classroom timetables. This requires the development self-discipline and organisational skills. The atmosphere is friendly, quiet and stimulating and nurturing qualities are very evident in the school. Pupils are lovingly challenged and allowed to exert their individual characters.

We offer small classes and an enviable teacher - pupil ratio. This allows teachers to work with and understand each individual pupil.

Through cooperation between teachers and parents we help our students to extensively; consolidate concepts, functions and ideas through constant practice and revision.

As well as numeracy and literacy, science, social studies and religious education is taught at Chudleigh House Primary School.

Lessons are also taught through activities such as music, stories, art, physical education and free play which build teamwork and confidence in the children. Each child is encouraged to join a club or to participate in extra-curricular activities. Guided by experienced, enthusiastic teachers and support staff, the children are encouraged to be confident, independent and creative problem solvers. There is a pupil support programme that is extensive and of great benefit to the children. The school has a proud tradition of success in examinations and the pupils find themselves having gained a strong footing in their education when they go on to further study at secondary schooling level. The school library is continuously developed and it supplements the teaching efforts of the staff.
